Ever since I can remember  I've been fascinated with looking at people, and imagining their personalities expressed in visual terms. When I was a child of five my mother would sometimes take me with her to painting classes (in a converted water tower-turned-studio on top of the Chelsea Hotel in New York City) where I would watch the grown-ups paint the model at their easels. Our apartment was filled to capacity with my mother‘s paintings, as well as with countless images taken by my father (who was a photographer). Growing up in this colorful atmosphere, I knew that I would some day be an artist. The light of my original passion has never gone out, and I am continually in search of new ways to express my fascination with the people and the world around me.
